Map and Location
At 18,750 square miles, the Dominican Republic is one of the largest islands in the Caribbean. With so much ground to cover, you will need to plan an itinerary in order to get the full experience of the island. There is so much diversity of things to see and do on the island from offroad jungle safaris, white water rafting, cave exploration, some of the best snorkelling and diving in the Caribbean, deep sea fishing, whale watching in Samana, hundreds of beautiful beaches, surrounded by lush tropical palms and flowers.
The temperature on the island remains fairly consistent at around 77 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. Generally, the whole island is sunny with tropical weather. The change in seasons is determined more by the annual rainfall then by the temperature. For the golfer, there are many gorgeous courses, with cliff views, and after hours clubs, with restaurants, spas and full ammenties.
Cabarete is perfectly situated in one of the most lush environments in the Caribbean. Largely undiscovered by most North Americans, Cabarete enjoys excellent, year-round weather, and visitors from the world over who take part in the amazing adventure sports as well as enjoy the island beach lifestyle and interesting Dominican culture. |
